Jimi Kiner is beginning his seventh year as an assistant coach with the UT swimming program following a storied career in the pool for the Spartans. Kiner was a national champion in the 100 breaststroke for Tampa in 2001, and is a former Tampa recorder holder in the 100 and 200 breaststroke. During his career with the Spartans, he was a 22-time All-American, a two-time national runner-up, and a four-year letter winner. In 2000, Kiner was an Olympic Trials Qualifier.

During Kiner’s coaching for Tampa, he has overseen two NCAA Division II National Records, 12 NCAA Individual National Champions, one NCAA National Relay Champion, a staggering 78 All-Americans, and continually posts in the top 20 teams in NCAA Division II Men and Women’s Swimming.

Jimi Kiner has been head coach of Greater Tampa Swimming Association since 2001.  As coach of GTSA Jimi has taken countless swimmers to Junior Olympics, Senior Championships, as well as national level meets.

In 2006 Kiner started Triton Masters Swimming, a program that focuses on Masters Swimming and Triathlete Development.  He’s coached numerous athletes, from beginners to the advanced, achieve their goals in their sports, respectively.The US Master's Swim program is offered at UT on Monday-Thursday from 5:30am-6:30am at University of Tampa pool.

The fees are a one time $33 to United States Masters Swimming (for Liability) and program cost is $50/month.
